WE CONFESS Jesus Christ as the ultimate revelation of God, our Lord and Savior, who freely gives us life and the privilege of sharing his Good News with the world.
WE LOOK to the Bible as the divinely inspired record of God's actions in the world, and consider it a trustworthy and authoritative rule in matters of faith and practice.
WE BELIEVE that all people have sinned and can be restored to fellowship with God and each other through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that we are called to live out this new fellowship as Christ's Body, the Church.
WE OBSERVE two ordinances:
We BAPTIZE by immersion, a symbol of death to the old life and resurrection to the new life in Christ.
We celebrate the LORD'S SUPPER in thanksgiving and remembrance of Christ's sufferings for us, and in anticipation of life in the coming kingdom.
WE UPHOLD the responsibility of all Christ's people to build up one another in love and to give witness to the saving power of the Gospel by using their Spirit-given gifts of ministry to serve each other and the world.
WE RESPECT the freedom of individual believers to determine the implications of their faith as they are led by the Spirit of God in the community of faith.
WE AFFIRM that the local church, under the leadership of Christ, its Head, should be free to order its own life. We also affirm that the local church is but one expression of the Church Universal, and that we are called to work for the unity of the Body of Christ, particularly in witness and service.
