GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY May 3rd ---801 S. Wright 12:00 Noon
SAFETY POLICY Habitat International requires construction volunteers to complete safety waivers each year they participate at a construction site, this is different from previous years. We currently have several safety meetings scheduled prior to the beginning of the build season. We will continue to schedule one per month throughout the build season as well for additional volunteers. The upcoming date for safety training is Thursday, May 1st at 6:00 P.M. All training events will be held at Second Presbyterian Church.
JUNE BUILD BLITZ
In an effort to shorten the build season this year, Habitat will be hosting a four day build blitz. We will build all day, each day in two shifts ( 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00-4:00 p.m.) If your church or organization is interested in signing up as a group for one shift or day, please contact the Habitat office by May 1st. The Blitz will be held Tuesday, June 3rd to Friday, June 6th. Habitat will provide snacks for the crews, but individuals will be responsible for their own lunches. Teams will be working on our site as much as possible, but some workers may be assigned to additional homes.
