What Are Sunday services like? Sunday service is at 10:45 am. Every service includes music, singing, and praise. The pastor delivers a biblically based sermon and includes a time for younger children to come forward for a short message. Our worship is a mix of traditional-style and modern-styles of worship! On the first Sunday of every month we observe a Communion Service that is open to all believers. The service sometimes include baptisms, child dedication, and official welcoming to our church family. Our LOGOS children's group has integral responsibility during many Sunday morning throughout the year.
How long are your services? Services are an hour long.
What do people wear to worship? At our church you can wear what you like! Generally, depending on the time of year you will see many men in business casual sports/polo shirts, but some men prefer wearing a tie and jacket. Both are welcome, because you are welcome. Women dress casually, as well, although many women choose to wear something more traditional.
Will I be asked to stand or identify myself as a visitor? You will not be asked to stand or publicly identify yourself as a visitor during the worship services. If you want to register your visit, you may do so by filling out the friendship pad that is passed at the beginning of the service. You may indicate if you would like someone to contact you for prayer or provide further information about First Baptist Church.
Do you have programs for children? Absolutely! We offer a wide range of programs for children from infancy through high school. During Sunday worship services, free childcare and early childhood classes are provided. These programs are designed to help kids learn about Jesus at every age in a loving environment. Church School Classes are at 9:30 and are designed to be fun and to help children grow in their faith. Actually there is a Church School Class for everyone, of any age, even 1-101.
